I have an old pair of Zeiss 10x40 B T* P* that I have used for years and years. Have been contemplating sending them in to Zeiss for a "once over" and to see if they can replace of of the screw on eye cups that is slightly dented. Its not a big deal, it just means I have to put my old doubler on the other barrel on the few occasions I want to use it. My question is, for those with experience - what does Zeiss typically do in this situation and what do they charge? Do they just clean them and give them a little grease? Is it worth sending them in at all?
I know one day I'll be upgrading but to my eye these old things still outperform all my hunting buddies's non-alpha mid-range glass and hold their own pretty well with the low end $1000 alphas.
Any advice/opinions are appreciated.
