Looking at getting into a new boot for Northern BC stone sheep hunting. I liked the Scarpa Grand Dru’s in the past but they’re discontinued and I haven’t found a similar Scarpa. I’ve been eyeing up the Zamberlan Mountain Trek GTX RR’s now. Unfortunately, there’s no sellers near me to try on. I have a bit of a wider foot and find that my pinky toe rubs in some boots. My width at the pinky is 4.3” - 4.5”. Does anyone have experience with these boots and have wider feet? Are they too narrow?

Alternatively, does anyone have any other suggestions for stiff, synthetic boots for mountain sheep hunting? Or if anyone has a line of Scarpa Grand Dru’s in 43.5.

Thanks

I use those boots. My foot width at the pinky is 4" in size 11.5 and they fit perfect. I think your foot is too wide for that boot. Have you tried Lowa Tibet Wide?

Be cautious. I tried a pair in their wides and lost two toenails elk hunting a couple of years ago. Mine were great in the city and on some of the Denver area hiking trails. I replaced them with Lathrop and Sons boots, 4E width. Worlds better.
