zamberlan guide 960 gtx boot

I just bought a pair of the 980's (same boot just a little taller) last weekend and was amazed at how great they felt. I was breaking them in around the house and went to climb a ladder to put something in storage and sheered off one of the lace eye's! I called Zamberlan and they said since they make them out of aluminum to save weight that have had problems with people on ladders and getting them caught and sheering them off. Of course they paid for them to be fixed, but made me a little nervous.

Dang!! That aint good!! Guess its an easy fix...Just duck tape them when your on ladders !! Ha! glad they at least paid to fix them. Did you have any little gap with the spot i was pointing at?

I've got a pair of these in a sz 12 with Orange Superfeet insoles for sale if someone needs a pair at a great price. Moving up to a 13 for a better fit for me. I honestly wish a boot manufacturer would make a boot that fits like my Altra running shoes. That would be perfect.
