Thanks for sharing. Beautiful pictures and some great animals. I hope someday to hunt country like that!

I'm curious though--did the 70 year old hunter come up there with the intention of doing a backpack hunt, or were they under the impression that it would be a horseback hunt from the get-go? I can't imagine paying the big bucks for a backpack sheep hunting trip as a 70 year old without some serious preparation and some sense of what you're getting into.

I have tried the dental floss trick years ago but it didnt impress me with the results. Never tried super glue but honestly as long as the majority of blood is gone Im ok with the open mouth. The 70 yr old father and 45 yr old son had booked a horseback hunt. My outfitter contacted them and told them I had a good ram located and gave them the option to come 5 days early and try for a back pack ram. After finding out they weren't up to it we were flown to another location at there expense to try on horses. The outfitter notified them they could hunt until the end of their scheduled hunt at no extra cost. So 15 days in total in stead of 10. They left the day their hunt was supposed to start.
Camo is definitely not that important while hunting up here….
As far as a hunter being fully prepared its tough when you havent already been there and done that.
His rifle had several hundred rounds through it before he had any malfunctions.

Congrats on a good season. Those are some nice rams. I share the same opinion when it comes to horses. Thanks for sharing.
