I live in Virginia. We don't have wolves. We have coyotes. On my farm I'm spending a good deal of time and money improving the wildlife habitat for deer, turkeys, quail, songbirds, etc.
I trap coyotes (and kill them) because there are simply too many of them. Nobody around here eats coyotes. They smell nasty.
All of us hunters would be better off if more eastern guys would realize that what happens in the West will eventually effect us in the east. The very same wolf lovers in the east that push for wolf protection in the West will push for coyote protection as soon as they can.
We hunters all across the nation had better stand united on wolf hunting and trapping because it will affect us all.
