Your goto Rangefinder in hunting situations

I use a sig kilo 2200MR and a drop chart taped to the stock.

This, but the drop chart is taped to the RF itself. Works wonderfully. Knock on wood, but somehow mine has been on the same battery since I bought it in 2018. Still shows full. Used fairly often.

I know this has been pounded to shreds…forgive me for bringing up the topic again…

Trying to look at my gear and make a decision to change course in the off season


With the new Revic or the advanced Sig 8kilo …do you use the ballistic info or still rely on a dope chart and a nice Rangefinder …

What’s your strategy during hunting situations

I use a Leica 2800.com Quick, reliable and solver built in. And good at cold temps. It replaced a Sig Kilo 2400 which was slow and totally useless in cold weather below about 15F. It wouldn't range a white pick up at 150 yards at 0F in Montana in '19 Got rid of it after that.
