Your Body Was Built to Hunt, Not to Sit Still

Very true, probably why I had such a hard time in school. Interesting to me with all of the advancements in medicine and the plethora of studies, were just know starting to grasp this idea.

I read a book many years ago called "Still Hunting", can't remember the author that was very good. Walking to hunt was the subject, regardless of the title.

My Dad taught me to walk very slowly, look around and walk again. That is the way I hunt. Most guys I hunt with walk too fast and I tell them "slow down and look". You have to be aware of the wind and walk into it as much as possible. I hunted deer & pigs at a buddies place in Texas. He used feeders and elevated blinds. I went nuts just sitting there. I only hunted with him at his Texas place a couple of times even tho I was invited back numerous time.

Medicine have known that moving is good for a while. Some of it is because until recently (in terms of human history) people had to move a lot, so the downsides of that is what floated to the surface.

It is like the difference between recreational and professional physical activity, professionally active people do not getall the health benefits of the recreationally active. There is a difference between being able to take a rest day because you feel trashed and having to roll on a structure fire at 3 am when you feel trashed. In short, movement needs to be balanced with recovery. Too much focuse on either is problematic.
