Young hunter binoculars and harness

Glad these work for her, but these are heavier than the Meosports with a worse image, just FYI to the OP. The Bantams are a fine option especially at the cheaper price.
Good to know! I’ve got a couple other young hunters I’ve been mentoring that need binos. I’ll take a look at these.

For older kids the Maven C1 is absolutely money if you are willing to spend a little more. I bought the one's my older son uses for significantly less than MSRP at some sale or another. Picked up a second set for like $300 on Prime day.

My kids both have Maven 8x30s and they're awesome. I love using them as an adult.

Rick Young harness for adjustability and price. Marsupial with their compact shoulder straps add-on if you want fully enclosed and don't mind the price.
I like idea of the Marsupial and getting the compact straps, that way he can have that system for a lot of years. Thanks

it is probably worth mentioning that I get a massive discount on vortex. without that, I would not have bought diamondbacks for grade schoolers.

Zeiss Conquests are being closed out, less than 699, yeah a stretch for 7, but great binoculars. Badlands mag bino harness, small, wide straps for weight distribution, easy to adjust.

Those are good starter binos. Two things to consider from my point of view…the more magnification the harder they are to keep steady, the smaller the exit pupil the harder it will be to keep a full vision, I.e. easier for one eye to blackout etc. might consider the 8x42.
Exactly I bouught 8’s for my boys starting out

I have two sets of the junior straps from Maruspial (IIRC they're like ~$15). When my kids come with me, I swap out the adult straps for the junior straps and away we go.

My kids used Vortex Viper HD 10x42. They are older now so they are not using them anymore. If interested send me a PM.

The Rick young harness is good but I could also see a young kid getting all tangled up in it

When my son was young I got him a Nimrod Binotopia Youth size harness. It was great. Adjusts down for a really small person yet he still can use it at 18. Though at his current age the youth harness looks a little ridiculous so I just ordered him the adult size.

Personally ive been using Rick Young for 8x32s and the Nimrod Harness for my 8x45s for over 10 years and love both of them. The Nimrod is especially good for binos that are heavy as bouncing isn’t an issue

I agree with the above that a kid with an actual bino harness might be a mess. The little strap/pack that comes with the Vortex Bantam fits kids perfectly cross body. I am NOT a Vortex fan, but they got those things perfect IMHO.

That is what he has been using, it’s my old pair. Think they are a little big for him right now, so think I am going to go with the Diamond back 8x32. Thanks for the offer.

My son uses 8x42 Vortex Crossfire. He wanted a harness like mine, so I got him the marsupial with the youth webbing. Once he gets bigger I can just swap it to the full size harness.

No worries good luck. FWIW my kids used 10x42 no issues. Threw them on a tripod and good to go.

My vote is for the Vortex DB 8x32 Hd. Much smaller than the 8x42 so lighter and easier to hold especially for a child. Very nice optically as well - no point getting them used at this age with better optics than these.
