Yes, I know this has been covered to death. I have a pretty specific ask though, so hopefully those with more experience will chime in.
Looking for a sling for a Seekins PH3 with a Steiner H6xi 3-18x50 scope, Harris bipod. So with a sling about 11 pounds all in.
I mostly casual target shoot (not competition) and some hunting, mostly white tail.
I would like a sling that will mainly be for stabilizing off hand sitting or standing shooting that will also work for a hunting carry sling. I usually don't walk far, maybe a couple or few miles at most. Just want to be able to take a good shot if it arises with the best possible (most stable) platform.
Looked at TAB pinnacle, Armageddon and SAP from the more precision side and, because I like the look of leather, and because it might be more comfortable to carry, Teton leather and this guy - https://www.tdcmercantile.com/product-page/modern-leather-hunter-rifle-sling
My initial thoughts are that leather won't work well for what I want, but I would like to hear some other opinions. Also, the TDC sling looks to be the best of both worlds.
So, go get the popcorn, and lets hear it.
Thanks!
