Yet another Fierce Firearms Issue...2024

carbon barrels are finicky bitch's.

At the LGS today.guy was there w a Fierce firearm he bought in January, unusable on delivery. Was sent back to Fierce, remains unusable. It will now fire, but you have to beat bolt open w hammer on multiple different factory rounds. Finish looked like crap for an almost $3k rifle.

That’s concerning. I was looking at them too….

Local gunshop tried to get me to buy a Mountain Reaper 2 weeks ago. Thank goodness for a little google search and reading threads like this kept me from making a expensive mistake.

Still beating a dead horse, All manufactures have fans and dis-satisfied customers. I've been lucky with Fierce, Had a Canadian Fury 6.5 PRC sub moa all day digested most ammo and reloads. Still have Carbon Roque CT, Action is not as smooth as the fury, but it works. Sub moa all day long. Broke it in with Norma match. After that my loads are all good. I read all the bad news and believe it, but if they are all bad I would not think they would still be open for business. The CT Roque weight is what I really like. JMHO. I had two CA that would not shoot worth a crap and owned plenty of 700's that shot lights out, plus a CTR that was great?

I don’t think it’s a dead horse to bring up more examples of NON functional rifles. I’m just some guy randomly walking into a shop having never handled a Fierce, first one I see/handle is usable as a boat paddle at best.

I’m truly glad yours work well. People should know these guys are out there selling absolute crap and can’t/won’t even fix the problems when given the chance.

Would you say you that having an expensive, functional, and well-shooting rifle was "lucky", if not for numerous negative reviews of guns made by the same manufacturer?

Christensen and Fierce seem to be two manufacturers that have frequent problems reported. Of course, any manufacturer can have lemons but those two seem to have more.

Guys who get good ones seem to use manufacturing volume as justification for poor quality control.

Seekins seems to sell plenty of guns, but I don't recall them getting brought up frequently.

Tons of Tikkas out there, not many bad reviews...

Not a lot of bad reviews that I can recall on Browning, Ruger, or Weatherby...

It reminds me of how Form words the scope reviews. One bad one speaks louder than one good one.

That fact that Fierce sold more than one smoothbore is enough evidence for me. Between those and their "Fierce Life" videos... 🤮

Or you’re still trying to revive a dead horse!
I guess it’s just a matter of perspective.

I get it, but there is a huge thread on here if you just do a search.

Update, I emailed Fierce and received a call in 2 days, they didn't ask any questions and just said they would send me a shipping label. I got it sent back in to them and got a notification that they received it. Got a call 4 weeks later and they informed me they did replace the barrel and claimed it shoots a 0.422 moa 3 shot group with Federal 175 fusion tipped. 5 days later I got the rifle back with their paper target. I took the rifle out to my range and proceeded to sight in, this time she shoots! What a relief. I was able to shoot a 0.21 moa 3 shot group with hornady box 180 Eld-m's @ 100 yards. I took it out to 1000 that day. I've since put about 180 more rounds through it and it is maintaining zero just fine. I would like to say that the staff that I interacted with at Fierce were polite and courteous. They stood by their product and took care of me as a customer.

Good to hear. I own two Fierce rifles and like them both, no hate from me.

Now, I just need you to come to my range and help me learn to shoot 0.21" groups.

I got in line about 3 weeks ago for Reaper HTAC in 25CM. Seemed like a super sweet option for a factory NRL Hunter option, but really just an excuse for a new gun ha. I'm excited to get it and try it out. I gotta say the couple of people I dealt there while ordering (its not on their website) were wonderful. They reached out to me multiple times to make sure details were correct. We'll see how it goes.
