Yaktrax alternative?

So now that I've shredded two pairs of yaktrax (the last pair didn't even make two trips) I'm ready to move on. What are you guys using for extra traction in icy conditions?
 
Yeah, microspikes of various manufacturers always with me. I actually think YakTrax makes a model with anti-bot plates on them, which I like.

Crampons for actual ice and snow.
 
Another vote for the micro spikes. Only complaint I have with them is if I wear them on a boot that not very stiff they kind of curl the boot up word and make my big toe sore. The pain is mostly the fault of an old injury in the toe and not the spikes.
 
I also have micro spikes, but I recently got some ice trekkers diamond grip to try and they are quite a bit lighter. I will post something after some good use.
 
Thanks for the replies guys. Those all look like better options than my yaktrax. The rubber underfoot just can't stand up to any kind of real use.
