Xped Dura 8

Busted out my new Dura 8 over the wknd. Anyone else experience ridiculous noise their pad? I’ve talked to a few people and their experience has been different.

The dura series shouldn’t be nearly as noisy as others like the Nemo tensor or thermarest chip bag model. I don’t even think I noticed the 8 making noise last year sharing a tent.

Okay, so I’m wondering if it was due to the friction of the tent bottom. We were in a Kodiak and it has a serious bottom material. Will be setting up to confirm.

It definitely could be that. I just don’t think the noise is close when comparing the reflective material in tensors etc to something with down inside as the insulator. Try sleeping or rolling around on it in your living room and see if it sounds as bad.

I have another model exped that is normally pretty quiet but in my buddies hilleberg it sounded like a chip bag, so I think there is something with the bottom on certain materials
