Let’s see the builds!!

Recently scooped up an XLR Atom chassis and am looking for some inspiration for a future build.

Let’s see what y’all have! Post pics, specs and any other info you’d like, if you would!

Happy hunting!

I’ve been looking at the Atom chassis, I’m just worried the fore end is too short to make shots off my backpack reliably.

Similar concern of mine, but my addiction couldn’t pass it up lol.

Thinking of building a compact 22 creed on it, so deer sized game and smaller. Don’t know if the fore-end will matter too much, but hard to say until you use it in the field.

Atom knockoff (for tikka) for 2/3 the price. Works great, especially with spigot and bipod out front.

Probably won't see alot of Atom builds on here. There is no real weight advantage to it over the Element 4.0 so it is hard to justify the Atom unless one is building a SBR in the 12 - 14.5" barrel range.

14.5" 22 ARC on a Kelby Atlas Lite or something similar could be cool. I'd go with the Element 4.0 though if you want to keep barrel length above 16".

That’s fair! I know there’s many in existence. Arrowhead and Viking Armament have built a pile of them.

I have an element already and love it. This is in addition lol.

What do you suppose you’d get for speeds out of a 14.5” ARC? I’ve seen a few 300 Blackouts in a similar set up.

Yup. They make a pic rail rear end for a folder now too. A bit more $, but a neat option.

I’ve been impressed with mine thus far. On a kiddo 223 build for AR stock short LOP.
yea I had a ultradyne ud5 before and i've done a couple builds with the cheap outlier chassis including this one for my kid. I have the short and med forend and I like the longer forend though. more area for support when building field positions off a pack.

New at this and may not be in the right spot. Can't get an answer from Seekins but I was looking at building my first rifle. Seekkins now has the Element Hunter folding chassis available. The action and barrel I was looking at I built on Weatherbys site. It's the 307 action carbon wrapped barrel in 28 nosler. I just want to know if that action will work on the Element Remington 700 clone chassis.

Is the 307 a model 700 footprint/clone?

If it is, the model 700 hunter chassis will fit.

Well I'm not sure. That's where a lot of this gets confusing to me and trying to figure it all out. Kinda funny the second I posted this question I got an email from Seekins stating that the carbon barrel option appeared to be too big for the Seekins chassis. So I responded asking if I just went with the steel fluted barrel would it work. I have emailed Weatherby and asked whether the 307 action is a Remington 700 clone or not.

According to their website it is a 700 clone footprint meaning that it would fit. Barrel contour will be the limiting factor in that chassis.

It would work.

Having ran both a 6 Creed and a 6.5 PRC in the Element Hunter chassis, I would be pretty hesitant to put a 28 Nosler in there.. This isn't a knock on the Element Hunter chassis, just my observations that lightweight folding chassis designs just don't handle the recoil from larger magnums well in general. Plan on running a BIG brake if you proceed down this route.

Watch the barrel counter though, there site claims a .700” max thickness at 17” from the shoulder. Not many CF barrels that thin.

It’s a Tikka D18 contour exactly.

(Edit: sorry you are on that other thread!)
