Well, not a single soul with less than three points drew 046-2 in the regular preference point draw.

Considering the quote was only 9, that was a tough one.

46-2 was only 2.36% success with one point in 2020. GoHunt led you down a poor path for sure. Gotta take a look at the actual draw reports.

I went to WGFD draw odds and i came up with 7% odds. That is not the 30% GoHunt calculated. Not Happy!

For the regular PP draw? Even in the special it took 3 points this year. It was 75% with 0 points for the special last year, but you said you used the regular draw correct? The total quota for 46-2 was reduced from 250 to 100 this year as well. That is more to blame than point creep.

You're fortunate that you didn't draw and waste your time and money on that unit. The quota should really be almost zero for that area.

I wonder if 38-2 leftovers are worth $326???

The NR regular random quota went from 27 total tags to 3. NR Regular PP quota went from 82 tags to 9. Wild. The random is just that though, random. Doesn't matter how many points you have in the random.

I drew a 46-2 tag this year.... I guess we'll see how it goes. We got lucky and got access to quite a bit of private so I guess that'll be in our favor.

Congratulations. That's a nice buck. Great job on the euro mount. I've hunted unit 46 multiple times and have always had good results, hate to hear about the low numbers. Hopefully the herd will make a significant comeback over the next few years. I have 3 PP and was looking forward to drawing in 2022.

Bucks peak at 3-5 years old. Lots of areas around there are missing significant fawn crop the last few years.

No fawns is the bigger problem followed by a drought year followed by big snows followed by more tag cuts.

You and me both, with the special draw it opens up more options. Quite a few are low density low tag allocation units that one or two higher point applicants can really swing the odds.
