So how did all my fellow Wyoming residents do? I got area 7 for elk, skunked on deer again, but got antelope north of Rawlins, all parties with my boy. Gonna be a great year.

Next yr Im going to start applying for elk unit 22.

We will be down in unit 82. There is a nice little spot that we have found. The tag is just a Region W General tag but I don't know of many more areas to check out without committing a ton of time. I will probably be heading up there less than a week after I return from Alaska for a caribou hunt so I will probably just be happy to get into the mountains and find a decent buck.

I am sitting on 5 elk points and 4 antelope points so really looking at next year or the year after for an extended "trophy" type hunt.

I believe July 1st for points. A big unsuccessful for me. I drew a WY Mtn goat tag and will hunt Region G for deer. I can't complain.

haha may have to take you up on that. Antelope is the only thing I may chase. I am pretty sick of not drawing. This may be my last year to put in.

My youngest son pulled an area 7 bull tag and a unit 53 antelope tag in his first year as a resident...he will be super excited to hear the news when he gets back from Ft Knox next month!

HEADS UP WYOMING RESIDENTS! For all of you that think you or someone you know drew a bull tag for unit 7 there has been a big G&F screwup. They issued successful notices to almost 1000 too many resident applicants for 7 than the quota allowed and the notice just went up on the website this afterooon. Call up the draw results to put in your information to get your results like you did earlier today and you will see the Notice in red. They will be contacting each person that didn't actually draw, so don't count on having that tag in your pocket yet!
