You may need to curb your enthusiasm a tadI have 6 points now. Thinking of burning them. Never hunted mulies. Probably want to do a trophy area. But 6-7 points... ?? No horses, no back country, flat lander needing an easier area.
Then please make a recommendation. You may need to curb your enthusiasm a tad![]()
What is your expectation? A high scoring buck? A quality back country experience? Seeing lots of deer? Then please make a recommendation.

So many guys get hung up on hunting the west end of the state, but in reality any unit can and do produce quality bucks every year that take way less points to draw.
Imo you’re going to need double those points to get an easier terrain “trophy” unit. Then please make a recommendation.
You have quite a few options. For a flatlander hunt you’ll need to identify the major mountain ranges in the state and then X out those units. Looking at the high sage hunts. Not looking for the biggest deer. Looking for a decent deer, on a flatlander unit. with lots of deer. Trophy potential is not important to me.
