Bull Elk Late Season.jpg

@Jaden Bales first solo episode on the Rokcast.

If I were an elk hunter, I'd be all over this. They talk about different tactics for different seasons, how aerial surveys can be influenced by weather, minimum bull:cow ratios for growing big bulls and a lot more.

(I've never met Lee but the fact that he's a .270 WSM fan, he's gotta be really intelligent guy! lol)

Thanks @robby denning Glad we could kick off with this episode! Lee’s got some awesome info he shared here.

Good stuff! 270WSM fandom notwithstanding, glad to see a little elk chatter on the ole Rokcast and plenty of good nuggets in there about management, science, and the perils of false perception. Appreciate it Lee and @Jaden Bales!

Interesting conversation, especially surrounding the socioeconomic considerations that are a hurdle for real management. Sounds like we are our own enemy.

Appreciate the content with bios.

Thank you so much for the information, I will make it a point to stay more engaged with the commission and the wildlife management. My eyes were open today for something I've neglected for so long, and yes, the 6.8 Western is one of the best cartridges available 😁
