I've hunted a neighboring unit, so not to concerned about the terrain, but what's the weather like, highs and lows, moisture? How bad will the pressure be? I'd like to do this hunt in September so I can take another week for deer in October, then elk in November.

Weather seems to be totally unpredictable in Wyoming. Chances are it will be warm and dry in September, but you could also have 2 feet of snow on the ground. Or like last year when we were in a nearby unit, last week of September, and it rained for 3 or 4 days straight. Made it really tough getting around with all the muddy roads. If you can, try to keep your dates flexible so if the weather is bad you can wait and go when it gets better. I haven't hunted 73 but I would expect a lot of pressure especially the first week, because that unit has a huge number of tags.

we will also be there the end of September. We were hoping most would be gone after the first week.

Hunted 73 twice.. Lots and lots of pressure for the opener. Second time I went the last week. Less pressure from hunters but the antelope were very spooky and a number of good bucks had already been shot making it difficult to find a good shooter. I now just put in for harder to draw units but with a better chance for a better quality hunting experience.
