Nikon Monarch 12x56 binos

On my first Western hunt I had to buy virtually everything but a bow and boots. I suspected I was going to prefer binos over a spotter, so I picked these after looking at a friend’s Monarch 5s in a 10x42. Used on one hunt, and I would keep them and continue to use but for my particularly poor eyesight. I switched to Meopta 15x56s to get a slightly more generous focal and diopter range to accommodate my vision. As far as glass comparison between the two, the Monarchs are extremely good—I can't tell any real difference in image quality compared to the Meoptas. If you don’t need the extended (and slightly more precise) focal range, these are a real bargain.

Overall these are in excellent condition. I can see no scratches or marks on the glass. The armor has no dents, gouges or scratches either.

Ships with objective lens covers, rainguard cover for eyepiece, and neck strap.

I would like to get $345.00 for these TYD CONUS.
I will ship to Alaska or Canada, but I will add actual shipping cost to the price.

This is a good deal, for someone who hunts some open country and uses a tripod.

I just used these off of a tripod on a late archery mule deer hunt recently, and I thought they were really good. The field of view is of course pretty narrow compared to 8-10 x binos, but I was very pleased with the clarity and brightness of these binos. I was able to count points on a large bedded 3 point from 900 yds (verified on Google Earth) on heavily overcast day at 1 hr before sunset, and then guide my son in to the buck on a stalk. I could see every move the buck made right up until the end of shooting light when my son barely missed getting a shot at 35 yds.

Thanks for the plus one on quality Mike7. Your experience is very similar to mine in SD this year. Good low light capability and good contrast. If it weren't for my dang -10 far vision, I likely would be happy to keep them. I just had to have a slightly larger and more precise focal and diopter range, and boy did I pay for it! But these are great. Also I really didn't have any trouble hand holding them personally.
