I know, but everyone SEARCHING sees "WTS" in green, sold is not in the description you can see, and comments are not closed. Thus, you have to click into every historic post of people selling things you might be looking for and scroll down just to see if the thing is still available.
I feel it is a reasonable courtesy to just mark things sold when they sell. This saves lots of people time and interest that is unrealizable, and allows those perusing the classified's a much better experience. It will also narrow down interest onto the items still for sale- giving sellers a better experience too. I also think it will increase sale prices modestly- since if you just looked at the same pair of binos or a sleeping bag for an awesome price that got away 3 YEARS AGO (as in this case), you might be less thankful to find a reasonably priced item that meets you needs- benefiting both seller and buyer.
I'm not attacking anyone, I'm just asking the seller to do it to improve the classified experiences for everyone- esp. if you sell great gear for a reasonable price like he was. I've talked to moderation about this, and they said there isn't an easy fix on the programming end. But it's an easy fix for us.
