WTB- quality pack for my son

My 16 year old son drew a goat tag for colorado this year!
Now I'm scrambling to get some gear for him. I want to get him some
Decent gear so I don't ruin him on the backcountry. I had planned on him using
My old pack but the belt won't go down small enuff. So this is a unexpected
Expense I wasn't planning for. I'm trying to keep his pack under 40lbs going in and
We're going to try and do one trip out so close 100lbs might be the case.

Looking for one of the top brands-Kifaru, Stone glacier, Exo, mystery ranch. Would need a belt
To fit a small 30" waist, he 6' tall
Here's the kicker... I can't spend over $400 and that's really pushing it!
Not looking for a hand out just a good deal on a pack that's going to get used .
