I am trying to get into archery for the first time and would like to buy a used bow with most of the accessories. I am 6-6 and my draw length is 31".

No, unfortunately. But thanks for thinking about it and replying. I have been told a few times that if you want to get into archery, start with used equipment because there is a lot of it out there that is not that old. My problem is my draw length.

Absolutely on the used bow route. They depreciate almost as fast as computers do. Another thought is you may be able to fit into a 30-30.5" draw if you decide to shoot a loop on the string. This will open up some more options for you.

if you're a new archer, you may want to start with something with a more forgiving ATA (axle to axle)...like 34", especially at your DL and height.

Yea, I'm not that concerned about size and weight yet. I can tell you though, there is not a lot of used bows for sale that fit me.

I have a right handed Hoyt Carbon Matrix I would love to part ways with. I believe it is currently at a 30 inch draw which is the shortest draw for that particular module, you would need to take it to an archery shop to have it adjusted to your length. I could throw on a nice fuse quiver and stabilizer too.

Not so sure I want the carbon matrix. It seems to have a reputation for issues for such an expensive bow. But maybe they all have issues. Like I said, I'm new to the archery world so all of this is new to me.

Thanks to everyone that has replied and PM'd me. I have been out of town a few days and have a ton of info to sift through here and as you know I'm fairly uneducated in the archery world.

I'm in the same boat. Never shot a compound before and only shot a recurve as a kid, but I am sure my draw length will be at least 31" if not longer(6'5" with only a 33" inseam and long arms). Thinking about getting a PSE Freak for the self-adjustable draw length if I can find a good deal on one.
