I just got my rugged maps in the mail and would like to line out some management areas and walk in areas. I don't want it to be a permanent mark on the map incase they aren't available for public use in the future. What have you guys found that is easy to get off the map in the future.

Awesome question, I was just thinking about this a couple days ago. I wondered about highlighter but it might stain. I will try a few things on the back of it and see what I can get to work

My next guess is dry erase but it may come off too easily when folding map back up..

I tried a few different writing utensils and dry erase is what I settled on. I tried highlighter, sharpee, ball point pen, eraseable pen, you name it. The dry erase marker will come off, however not as easily as I was worried about. It comes off clean with a little rubbing alcohol. One post on another site made mention of a grease marker. I haven't had a chance to try this yet. Thanks for the reply.
