Anybody wear a watch in the back country? If so what kind and what do you like about it? I was thinking about getting something like a G-shock or something rugged like that. Definitely has to have an alarm clock. My rino 650 has an alarm but a backup would be nice.

I just have a cheap timex expedition. Since I only wear it while hunting I don't need anything fancy. It gets wet and beat up and keeps on trucking. First one I had lasted 3 almost 4 years before the battery died and I replaced it with the same exact one.

I wear a Suunto and a G-Shock. I wear the G-Shock with the altimeter and it's more accurate and stable than my Suunto, so I wear it most of time. You can find them for $100, and has like 6 alarms on it.

I have the suunto and a G-Shock as well I use the Suunto for training because it has the heart rate monitor and the G-Shock for hunting. My buddy who happens to be a Army Ranger told me about the G-Shock he says it the only watch his unit will use

Casio Pathfinder 2000T. Worn daily for 4 years now and it has never missed a beat. It looks great and has all the bells and whistles a person would ever need. My favorite feature is the auto illumination, that occurs when you turn/flick your the wrist when it's dark, and the face lights up. The atomic time updating that occurs six times a day and solar battery means that I have never had to reset the watch, or touch the battery since the day I bought it. Including the daylight savings BS. Recommend it to anyone looking for a nice outdoor/dress watch.

I just bought this watch as backcountry.com had them 20% off. Should work for an outdoor watch.

I don't like wearing a watch, so just have a cheap walmart watch that i keep on my pack. It keeps time, and has an alarm...thats about all I need.
