I was wandering through Walmart today and was surprised to see that wrangler offers 96 percent nylon 4 percent spandex cargo pants. I bought 2 pairs for less than $22 each. So far they seem a lot like Prana Zions. Has anyone tried these?

I'll give them a look when I get a chance. Wrangler (Riggs) did alright with the ranger pants I've used for work.

I'm pretty much a FNG 'round here but I've been running these pants for a while and have been nothing but impressed. They are great value at $20-$22/pair. I have both the cargo and regular versions and they have been almost perfect. If they had a little deeper pockets and zippers on the rear pockets, they'd be damn near perfect.

I bought a pair the other day, only worn them once. Cut/fit is comfortable while moving around and they breathe well. I'll probably buy another pair when I find them in another color. I'd rather wear something less expensive that holds up OK for hunting/hiking around here because the desert brush tears everything up. That said, this type of material seems to hold up really well from pretty much any manufacturer I've tried.

I bought a pair while I was south of the BC border... At that price point, a great value in hiking pants. Wish I had bought a couple more pair.

I bought a pair of these over the weekend at Walmart. They are really nice for the money. The crotch is not gusseted and the fit is more along the lines of my First Lite Corrugate pants. They have a button snap instead of the typical button through the slot. The waist is elastic. Only problem I have is that the legs are tight in the fit for me. I went to a bigger size just so my legs fit in them better. Great value though. Definitely worth giving them a try.

My wife just brought home a pair of UB Tech from Costco......... 94%nylon 6% spandex..... Gonna wear them tomorrow. If they wear as well at work as they fit in my bedroom I'll be buying every color and wearing the appropriate colors in the woods. How are these different the Kuiu i paid $125 for? Feel NEARLY the same! Maybe a tad thinner. Missing the hip vent..... 2 rear zippered pockets. 1 small zippered cargo pocket. All zippered pockets have small 3/8 inch over laps. These also have an odd but seemingly useful stretch band at each hip that flex open a tad when you shove your hand in each front pocket.
