Wow. I’m impressed with Starlink!

Still waiting on the mini, been 4 weeks. My house unit still keeps sending the same message (Starlink is obstructed) it is working but slow since day one. ONtech is coming back again to try to do something?

I had an Actuated/Gen2 Starlink (installed Sept 2022) fail last month.

Ran diagnostics via Grok through the Starlink app. My online search suggested the dish failed. Grok said the router failed. No matter. Grok sent me a whole Standard 4 (non-actuated) kit (refurbished) that arrived in two days, and a FedEx shipping label so I could return the old stuff. I returned the old kit w/in 30 days and so there's no charge for the replacement gear. I did need to order an adapter ($46) to install the new dish on the old mount on the roof (couple more days off line). Crawling around in the attic and fishing a new cable down through the wall past a junction box and some other cables was a pain. Aligning the Standard 4 dish was super easy using the app.

This is way better customer service and performance than what I get with Verizon, T-Mobile, and a third party supplier at other sites I manage.

No, they are 4 150 ft Ponderosa's. I'll leave them where they are. The obstructions are only 7%. Without being able to speak to a person, dealing with them is impossible. I've sent the app all the pictures they requested and the info they wanted- speed etc. The other day it was at 39 then jumped up to 244 then back down. Sent in screen shots like they requested and the tech that came out sent them a text explaining what he is seeing. He believes the unit is bad, but Grok says everything is peachy on their end. I'll keep it for now the part time service is good LOL. I'll check out Amazon's new service when it comes out.

Thats interesting about not getting a person. We had an issue with a referral not showing up and i called the number and got a human in less than 5 minutes.

The only other time i had an issue was setting up my moms internet at her house the router wouldnt connect. I submitted a ticket and that night they reconfigured it and was good to go the next day.

Starlink has been the most reliable internet provider we’ve ever used. Have had the home version for the past 4 years. I office from home a couple days a week and my wife works full time from home. Very rarely have we had an issue. Just bought the mini a couple weeks ago for camping/hunting. It works great, even while driving.

Who knows, the tech could not get a hold of a person either. All submitted by Grok. I'm not a tech guy at all. For those who say it is flawless, I'm not so sure. Is it better than the others most likely. I have the mini also, it works just fine. The home unit not so much.
