Wow. I’m impressed with Starlink!

If you live in an area that has limited cell coverage, or go hunting where there’s no cell service, put the mini in the truck.

I put mine on the dash of my truck and use it when I need to.

In my suv I put it up on the sunroof.

There’s so many options for a mini.

I put my mini on Standby Mode -$5/mo (reduced data) but I can still text and call. Loading website is a bit slow

The Roam package is $50/mo. For 50gig
Fast
They have upgraded the roam to 100gb, but you can't buy extra for $1 per gb now, it just throttles you to slower speeds once you hit 100gb/mo.

I love my mini - I have a magnetic mount now, and it just lives on top of my truck. Powered by usb c to my house battery system.

The company that makes the mount - they also have some cool cables and other stuff. - https://veritasvans.com/starlink/

I received an email a few weeks ago for a free mini due to having main service at my camp as well as 50% off ROAM packages. Like was said previously, the 50gig is now 100gig with no option to increase. For my use, I am going to the unlimited because I can toggle on "ocean mode" to be able to use it offshore on the top of my boat once I cross the 12nm from land cutoff. I have been doing a ton of research on it and it's super easy and low power with being able to run off 12v. A lot of people are saying you get better performance if you get a 12v-36v or even 48v step up either through cigarette lighter plug or hardwired. I plan on using a Veritas vans mount to suction cup it to my sunroof in the truck and then move it to the t-top on my boat when I go fish. We fish a lot of areas in the marsh with zero cell service. This will make it nice to communicate should something go wrong but where I don't need to set off a PLB or EPIRB. Also, they make power cables that will run off a drill battery in the event something goes wrong with the boats electrical system. People are saying you can get 4.5 hrs per battery on the mini. It's pretty impressive.

I'm a true believer. I have had the standard home unit and now the mini. I take it everywhere and have the confidence that when I come back to the vehicle from a hike, I have service.
