Would you buy this scope?

With the Maven, I’d just leave it at 4x on the low end. The crosshairs are visible at that. Then if I needed more mag I cranked it a tad.

I have 6x’s on right now and love them. But as long as you use 4x as the low end the maven is great.
I still like the Maven a lot. I end up keeping it between 4x and 6x. But I also love simplicity.

Who counts clicks? And if they do is 900 instead of 1200 going to be the difference of a kill shot or not? And who in the field is dialing 300+ moa? Are we shooting elk at 800 yards with subsonic 22lr?

A subsonic 458 would only be 261 MOA elevation at 1400 yards at sea level.

But, a subsonic 22 LR needs more than 300 MOA of elevation at 780 yards at sea level, so pretty good call.

Its called a joke sir. Moa is not as good as mils in my opinion. There is a reason almost no one in PRS uses MOA.

But if you use mils you have to use kg and g, and Nm for torque, else it doesn't work.

Also a joke, but not all jokes are helpful. Coming from someone who will not by an MOA scope.

Yes, aware that wasn’t a useful information statement via meme. Yes, MILs are easier to communicate with a spotter in that setting, as it’s the more common system in use. Most of my scopes are in MILs, but not all. Doesn’t matter which I pick up, my brain couldn’t care less. But I don’t have anyone but me calling my shots, so there’s that.

Yeah, I had a rough idea from a lot of time spent playing with trying to lob 22lr stupid distances. Interestingly, that’s a great place for a SFP scope. Dialing back to half power gives you twice as much elevation in the reticle when you run out of dial.
