Anyone familiar with any lightweight wool options that are gridded similar to common fleece offerings, or similar to R1 Air?

I've seen the Icebreaker Descender and Ortovox's offerings, the Icebreaker looks like it might be too heavy and hot for me, Ortovox is synthetic dominant blends which I'm not looking for. Ideally looking for a 60-80% merino, 40-20% synthetic, blend.

Appreciate anyones feedback and input!

I think Patagonia has nearly exactly what your mentioning.

These are Powerwool which is a poly blend grid fleece with Merino. I've been wanting to try them, I think they usually have a solid black friday sale.

I had the Canis merino grid fleece top and bottom and I didn't care for it at all.

It’s not a replacement for the R1 Air for me but when it’s a touch colder I like the Arcteryx Hallam. Hoody with built in face mask as well. Keeps my neck warm and still breathes when moving.

I’ve looked at the divebomb merino and it’s looks really interesting. If it’s truly able to suppress the stink, it could be amazing.

Well, I’m keeping up with this thread. I’ve found, have not tried, just lurking on the following: a merino waffle off banana republic; yak wool crew off quince; tern ultralight off outdoorvitals.

Does the arma hoody resist odor? And doesn’t seem to dry faster than a straight wool shirt?
I don’t have the Arma… I’ve been close to pulling the trigger before but haven’t. It should dry pretty quick given the blend. I just looked: 88% polyester and 9% merino and some spandex. Probably dries great but I couldn’t guess on how it resists odor

The Arma being 88% poly, is probably not going to be too good at odor control. Let me have a thimble full of coffee with my soy, white mocha, caramel, chai, pumpkin spice, pecan crunch, cinnamon, vanilla, mocha cream frappe chino. I would want at least 75% merino prefer 80/85.
