Wood stove pipe cracked

Was cleaning out my stove pipe, and noticed that there was some metal that scaled away in my through-the-wall pipe exposing the insulation. My thought on a fix is to get some 20 gauge stainless and patch using some sort of high heat epoxy. Anybody else been in the same situation? Any other recommendations on fix?

Replace the pipe, a chimney fire isn't worth saving a few $$

Please replace with a double walled stovepipe. Your family and your residence will thank you in the years to come. House fires are AWFUL. My family lived through one when I was a kid and it left a lasting impression.
