"A Colorado runner was attacked Monday by a mountain lion during a trail run in the northern part of the state that resulted in puncture wounds to his face, arms, legs and back and the death of the animal."

Story says he hiked out and drove himself to the hospital...and he was attacked from behind by an 80# ml.....and killed it.

My disposition would be pretty nasty if a lion jumped on my back and sun its claws and teeth into me.....:ROFLMAO:

Maybe he used some good old fashioned toxic masculinity.

Very impressive. I would like to see his account in detail.

A couple summers ago I ran into a black bear sow with a cub while I was running that same trail with my dog.

Then, last year I was heading up the canyon just north of there at 3:00am and there was a lion standing in the middle of the road. It was slightly unsettling as I prepared to hike off into the darkness solo...

Yup. My little tabby ran up and down me so fast I didn’t know what happened...left me bloody..and she was only reacting to a neighbor cat.

The guy who killed the leopard was Carl Akeley - the father of modern-day taxidermy. He also got stomped by an elephant. Ill be by Mt Kenya this April, where the stomping happened. His work is still in the field museum in Chicago - the huge fighting elephant.

I don't want to assume the worst of the media but I wouldn't be surprised if it was killed with a gun and intentionally withheld.

I have a housecat and don't want to mess with it. It would have been one hell of a fight either way.
