Wolf or Coyote?

The pictures below are from a mountain range in central Montana where FWP claims there are no wolves. I saw these piles of scat and tracks in early October of archery season and took the photos.

What do you think they are? Seems like the scat is too big to be a coyote.

One of the easiest ways to tell whether coyote or wolf/domestic dog is that the hind print is noticeably smaller than the front print on a coyote. Of course this doesn't help in this case but in the future you should be able to tell.

My guess is wolf due to the size of the scat and track.

Looks like a wolf turd and track to me......fwp has snookered many before and hopefully it was just cruising through down to Utah:)

I would have to go with the majority here, wolfy. The scat definitely looks exactly like wolf but to me the track is hard to tell, must have been made in a little mudd ground which can make tracks appear bigger than they really are, but definitely good odds. I have a good friend in central MT and there has been numerous sightings of at least one wolf around the area. Good thing going for them is that its wide open and they won't last long.
