This is a repeat breeding of our 2024 litter. That litter has qualified for a Natura Ability Breeders Award, as have our other three litters, from NAVHDA. Sires line goes back to a NAVHDA Versatile Champion and the dams lines go back to an AKC Master Hunter. These two range well for me for our annual trip to North Dakota for sharpies. Back home, the sire handles cold water and big geese no problem.

Both parents have been tested for all conditions recommended by the breed parent club, including hips, elbows, eyes, thyroid and tan gene. All pups are sold on contracts with limited registrations in AKC and NAVHDA and a two year health guarantee. These dogs live to hunt and will be going to hunting homes only.

We’ve sent our pups all over the country, the furthest being California, with a handful up in MN and down in OK.

Please check out the link for the complete write up on Rudy and River, as well as pedigrees.

From a different breeder, but we have a 4 year old male grif named Goose. Can honestly say he’s the best bird dog I’ve ever had having owned ESS, Brittanies, many English setters and Llewelyns and a Pudelpointer.

He’s a little heavy boned if you’re only hunting upland but handles cold retrieves and our heavy Wyoming weather and just an incredibly versatile dog just like they’re bred to be. My wife and kids adore him and honestly I wish we could add another!

I never hunted ducks or geese. I do hunt for pheasant and ruffed grouse in Pa. over my hunting buddy's Brittany Spaniel when we get out. I also loved hunting rabbits but my beagle has long passed on. How does this breed do with those?

My male field hunts with me for honkers and retrieves in water no problem. I have little experience with rabbits though. My oldest griff, now retired female would work small game for me in late season.

Griffons are a versatile breed, so they point, retrieve and track. If you expose and train them to the task, they do it for you.

I bred this exact pair last year and 5 pups ran and passed their puppy test in NAVHDA, so the instincts and foundation are there.
