Winter Range Muley pictures

This was a pretty typical buck. Thought I would share to pass the slower winter months. I always like to get out and see what kind of bucks the snow brings down.

I watched him for awhile and he seemed to just be browsing on the sage. It's kinda down in the lower sage country so that's all I can imagine.

so when do the deer in area lose their racks? here in se ga well into feb. have heard some northern [ohio] are losing them now. do the mulies and whitetail shed about same time? nice pics

It depends on the year from my experience. I'm sure he won't be dropping for another couple months. That's just my guess though.

Ya this was through a scope. It was actually just holding my iPhone up to my old Bushnell Spacemaster. I would like a phoneskope but not until I upgrade my spotter.

Nice looking buck

I started seeing antler drop around January 13th in southern Idaho. Seems around here by Feb 1 about half will have dropped but there's stragglers clear into March. Any shed hunters able to confirm/deny that? I'm not really a shed hunter so other guys will know more.
