Window mounts

Has anyone made their own? If not what is everyone using? How often do you use it? Thinking of making my own.......looking for some inspiration. I've looked on different sites and thought I'd ask here as well before I jump into it

Looking like not many people use window mounts I guess. Was thinking would be a good scouting tool when the weather is aweful

I buy the monfrotto general little piece that goes on your window and then attach the head of your choice on top of that

I hope to machine one up tonight. I'll post up a picture when done. I have an unused manfrotto ball head I will use with the lower mount

Made a quick one last night. Should do the trick. I think it may not be something that gets used very often so did t want to spend a lot of time on it. Machined from a solid piece of 2" round 6061 aluminum

I've got a Cabela's one that works fine. Think I paid about $25 for it. I don't use it too much, but it's nice to have when I'm driving into a new area and I want to get an idea of the geography. I don't hunt from my truck or base camp much though.

I'm thinking on the same lines. I guessing it's gonna get limited use. Fun project though and good to make use of something that was laying around.
