Thank you, It was my dads, I shot my first bear with many years ago and now it just sits in the safe and none of my kids are interested! So, someone should enjoy it! Hit me up in April if it doesn’t sell sooner!

71’s are great rifles. That one is a deluxe. Some were drilled for a receiver site, others have a peep site mounted in the bolt. Looks like that one has the holes for the receiver site. Winchester didn’t make a lot of those, in comparison to the other models.

If I were you I’d keep it, if nothing more than to remember that bear hunt. It’s just going to get more and more valuable.

Well, you are correct on all accounts, the orange/black box in the pic has the peep sight. It is the deluxe version. I’m getting older and would like to finance a very light version of a hunting rifle! Carbon fiber and titanium!
