Win Model 70 300wm, BOSS Brake thread.

Does anyone know the thread pitch/pattern on a 2000's Winchester model 70 in 300 WM with the BOSS tuner brake? It seemed to go on m14x1.5 at the local hardware store but I want to be sure.

How did your project turn out? I’m planning to do this same thing with an old 308 that’s in the safe. Did you leave the back end of the boss system on the gun and run the thread adapter up to that and call it a day? Or did you take everything off so it’s just bare threads?

Not a very helpful answer but we left it as is and built a new rifle. It shoots great and is now relegated to more tuck type long range hunting.

The new rifle is 4lbs lighter, he really needed that @ 73yo.
