Will Tikka come out with a 6 CM soon???

I toted my kids' 20" 6.5cm with a can, for five days last year, and the extra barrel length and weight of the can up front, kinds make it annoying. Not impossible, but annoying.

How long was the suppressor in question? My 20” barrel was fine with a 6” muzzle forward suppressor, but much nicer with a 4” OG 6.5, ZG 6.5, or similar.

Since two people have asked - it's a YHM Resonator K, which is maybe 12(?) ounces and about 5.25" best I remember. I don't have it handy at the moment.

It isn't the length or the balance in the hand so much as trying to carry it slung over the shoulder. Especially with a Harris Bipod up front. I'm likely to forego the bipod or switch to a Spartan in the future. But, still, 18" would be better, and doubly so in an enclosed blind or treestand where every inch counts.

A 20" with my OG 6-S should be the chef's kiss. I carried 24" and 26" rifles for 35+ years before I got my 1st suppressor. If my 6'6" frame can carry 26" barreled rifles from the river bottoms to the alpine slopes, a 23" overall length barrel suppressed will be good to go. I want to give up as little velocity as possible so a 22" or 24" isn't off the table. I have a 16" 6mm ARC and 16" 22 ARC if I need compact without the need for long shots.

I don’t know if that information could be shared, but it would be super interesting to see what the sales numbers on these are after month or two compared to other tikka models.

Reached out to my distributor, seeing if I can’t pick up some 6 creeds.

Fo those that just want to get one in 18”, I have a few 7 and 7.5 twist right now, and another order of a few 18” coming. I’ll order a few more in 16” soon.
