Will/Does Anyone Make a 308 Win Suppressor?

Where do I order one? I only need .358. If the 30 cal reaper will handle a 30-06 it should handle a 35 whelen? Would be happy to send out a rifle or two to help with testing.
Id also offer up a rifle for testing. 338 fed, kimber MT. Can drop it in Post Falls as long as I can get a guarantee that Form isn't the one that tests it 🤣🤣🤣

I'm holding out for an OG308, somewhere between a 6 and 6.5. Maybe 6.5 sized, but it seems like the 6.5 would be overbuilt to handle PRCs or RPMs.

A little more volume doesn’t hurt like the og6.5 has. 1 month from now the og30 gen 2 will be avail and I think it’ll be a bad arse option from what I’m hearing.

I mean, I think most of the shorter, lightish cans on the market are this footprint? 6” can, 8 or 9 oz, most of them are available with a 308 bore I think? This category seems crowded rather than sparse to me, its clearly a popular category. (My dd STI, nomad ti, etc, etc). That use but under 8oz , 3” muzzle forward otb would be slick if it could be done. Its probably limited by being a hunters can rather than a shooters can, but Id look hard at it.
I dont own a 6mm. I get theyre popular, but outside rokslide I think “most” folks are using 7mm and .308 bore cartridges for hunting.

So why not the OG30 Gen 2 for a 308? I’m guessing it’ll be 8 ish ounces, and only 4” muzzle forward

If those are the stats, that will fit the bill, but that's speculation on a can that isn't available yet.

I think the market is heading toward one dedicated can per rifle. And if so, people will want to buy a can that is optimum for that application. I was more curious as to how much smaller and lighter it could be if it didn't have to also work on 300prc.

I’m pretty sure it’ll be super close to those stats. My reasoning: the OG will be renamed the OG HD, and it’s only 10 ounces. It can handle the 300 RUM. The OG 6.5 is 7.5 ounces, so I figure a Gen 2 OG has to land between those cans, but closer in weight to the 6.5. It won’t be intended for a 300PRC.

Yes, I’m surmising. But I don’t think I’m far off. We’ll know soon enough

I’d be shocked if it is substantially different from that.

I am quite baffled that anyone is having a hard time finding a good hunting suppressor for a .308 Winchester. There are tons of them out there.

What is wrong with the ZG 30, Reaper, AB Raptor 8, Nomad Ti, or OG 30 (especially the gen2 version)?

Not as baffled as all the oversized suppressors you just listed.......

Dude, you aren’t in the bedroom, two inches doesn’t make a lot of difference in length on a modern hunting rifle. Even in Virginia woods, a 6” suppressor on a 20” barrel works really well.

Expecting that you are going to get an OG-6 S, but in .308 caliber seems unrealistic to me. The smaller bore diameter is what enables these little short cans to have decent suppression.
