I thought it was great. "Never fall in love with a plan" I was guilty of that last year in Utah and didn't realize it until we cost ourselves a couple days.

Does anyone know if the Colorado high country early rifle muley hunt in September is a choice or should I apply for later hunts

It’s a tough hunt. I hunted it this year. It overlapped archery OTC elk and deer along with rifle bear. Then moose season started and surprisingly there were a lot of moose hunters as well.
