Wiggys Superlight 0 degree bag

Picked one of these up after seeing a couple of your suggestions on here for a cheap car camping bag . It’s no frills but a very nice bag . Nice zipper and draft guard . Inside also feels better than expected , no liner needed . Nice free pillow as well . Seems to be pretty warm and American made . Got the camo version for 110 shipped . Only thing I didn’t like was the stuff sack was a little small . Bag weighs 6 lbs on a fish scale . Any suggestions for replacement stuff sack? Anyone else run one ? Good to a true 0 degree ?

I had one. Ran it down to 5 degrees. Was an okay car camping bag, not worried about beating it up that’s for sure. I sold it for a lighter alternative.

Biggest complaint was no draft collar around your neck, and poor sealing hood, made taking it to its lower limit a pain because cold air could easily creep in, and pulled tight the mouth/nose hole is not comfortable at all.

Thanks , I thought the upper half of my torso felt pretty exposed. Time will tell .

I roll around a lot, probably part of my problem as well. Any rolling around moved cold air into the bag.

I ran one last year up on the Brooks, kept me warm and dry. We had temps fall one night to 19 and had a 55mph wind, never got cold. My stepdaughter ran the same bag as well and was comfortable, and she gets cold easy.

My wiggys are the most comfortable bag on the planet. My zero degree is good to about 10 degrees when off the ground. We fight over them. But i use down for backpacking

Haha well the lows for my upcoming trip are in the -10 range .... will I survive ? Bad idea to throw hot hands chemical warmers in the bag with me ? Any other tips so I don’t freeze ?

My wiggys super light is comfortable @15, I have an xlwb and overbag so that will bring it closer to 0 and I can add a down quilt inside for even lower temp comfort. Wear a good balaclava to sleep in. I was thinking about getting a Antarctic hunter bag from wiggys for very cold car camping...

I’ve got that bag, it’s a decent low cost car camping bag. It is not a high quality bag, mine has spots where you can visibly see light (hardly any lamilite insulation) which get cold. As was mentioned above the hood is not cut to the shape of a human and does not seal well when snugged down, no draft collar on hood. Since I bought it face to face from the owner Jerry W in Grand Junction I took it back to show him the cold spots. He insisted they couldn’t possibly be cold spots. I use it as an overbag for cold camping with vehicles. It’s warm with a second bag or quilt stuffed in it. Alone it was good down to 20 degrees, I am a cold sleeper and do not expect to get down to the bags rating but this bag does not come close to 0.

Stop at some place that sells sleeping bags and pick up something you can lay over the bag.

Did the same thing this last week, when temps were 30 degrees below normal. Threw my Woobie on top. A cheapo rectangle bag will accomplish the same.

I have one with a stuck zipper I cannot fix. Their zipper design could be better.

My bags have the breakaway zipper....that's an awesome zipper.
