Why the heck am I getting swipe marks on my brass

I would say maybe 25-40% of the last few Norma boxes were like that as well as some winchesters that must’ve gotten mixed into my last batch on accident. They were in that same realm of OAL on the brass itself.

Edit: I would also say that I’ve seen more issues with factory ammo as of late across the board too. Poorly seated projectiles and brass specs seem to be the more common issues.

So the issue did not happen when chambering loaded factory and then ejecting the upshot round.

I will verify if this holds true with the reloads

So is the length of your brass that has been sized and bumped back?

I measured each piece of brass after resizing and none of the ones that I reloaded needed to be trimmed.

I am away from my reloading log so I don’t have those figured in front of me but I based that information off of the Hornandy reloading manual.

Did you have any resolution to this issue? I'm having a similar ejector mark with my Ruger 77 with both handloads and factory ammo 20-30% of shots fired.
