Cuz I have a man crush on a guy named Cam and want to take cool selfies like he does.
That was in jest, no supplements for me. I am more than happy with my mountain fitness with a modest workout program, semi-healthy eating, and more beers than I should in the offseason. Come September I am mentally dialed in 100%. But I am still not 30 and I may reconsider if I’m lagging as I age.
Supplements scare me in general. They always have but I watched a Frontline documentary a few weeks ago that was very alarming. I summed it up in another thread but the takeaway is that the vast majority of these companies don’t know what is really in the products via scientific analysis. I want to climb mountains still when I am 70 and don’t want kidney problems or anything to put that in danger. At a minimum I question the benefits of supplement programs, and at a maximum they may be dangerous. As with anything in life it’s on the risk reward spectrum and risk takes that one when it comes to supplements in my opinion. I'm sure I'll get some folks riled up but that's just my take on supplements in general.
This is a great point possibly. I've never purchased any mtn ops or wilderness athlete products because I have supplements that I have been using for years and believe in. However, if someone was actually giving back to the hunting community it could lead me to research more and possibly convert me.Well for one you can support a company that supports hunting.
I haven't paid much attention to what mtn ops and wilderness athlete do but are either of them using their resources to fight for things like public land and hunting rights? Looking for direct involvement outside of just sponsoring people that do.
Is Cam involved with this product? If yes,I'll take a semi truck load please.
Last I knew he was with Complete Nutrition, but haven't paid attention lately.
Well for one you can support a company that supports hunting. If you have a question or concern Casey or Jordan are easily reachable. They are great guys, and are activily involved in the company. There's no magic suppliments out there, you gotta work hard to get results. I switched from ON to MTN OPS basically for the 2 reasons I stated. Plus I like to be able to put a face to the companys I support. Everything I have tried of there's has been on point taste wise. I honestly have no issues with anything I've used of theirs.
They do participate in 2% for conservation and they also have their operation conquer hunger. I don't mind paying for products that work, taste good, and some of the money goes back into our community. I don't see myself going back to ON or cellucor anytime soon.Good point. Marketing to hunters is not that same as supporting hunters.
