To be fair, it would be fine if you told josh blowmar not to shoot that far at a critter.
That may well be the case, but my point is, many people don't look at themselves with a particularly critical eye. What is good for one person isn't necessarily good for the other. I know Bowmar is controversial but I believe my raising him is justified. Look at the size of him. He can handle a 90# bow no worries, and can clearly shoot accurately a very long way. Call it what you want - arrogant, unusual, over the top, unnecessary, etc. That's fine. But what business does someone have telling him he shouldn't shoot that much poundage, or shouldn't shoot that far, if they're the type of person who pulls their bow out a few weeks before season and makes uncontrolled shots at 40 metres?
I'm not saying everyone does that either. It's just an interesting point is all.
EDIT to add: I'm not trying to be argumentative. I'm just making the point that for me, I try to be realistic and critical of my abilities and expectations of myself. Other people may do well to worry about themselves more and worry less about others, particularly when their views and experience are based on things that aren't within the realm that the stuff they are passing judgment on is.
It's an objective fact that people like Levi Morgan and Josh Bowmar are better shots than the overwhelming majority of average bowhunters around the world. Making a point that every bowhunter, no matter who they are or how much they practice, need to confine themselves to the same restrictions as everyone else, is ridiculous. The same can be said for many aspects in life.
