I rendered bear grease for the first time recently and though I think I did everything correctly, it does not solidify at room temp. Everything else about it seems to be as it should, no taste when used as a cooking oil. Does anybody have idea why this might have happened? Thanks

How warm is it in your house?
We don't have ac and even when it's comfortable in the house I can't leave butter on the counter because it'll melt, coconut oil melts in the jar in the cupboard.

Like stated above, likely too hot in your house for it to solidify. Throw it in the fridge or basement.

yeah nothing wrong with what you are describing. I keep mine in the fridge and it solidifies like bacon grease and then I scoop some into the pan for cooking and it melts no problem and is great for cooking.

Gotcha thanks everybody. It's not generally too warm in my house, I like it cool but sounds like it's not an issue
