I never really knew what a mosquito was until I moved to Canada. In the Sierra Nevada's I would camp out under the stars, only worrying about the snakes and scorpions in the morning. When I moved to BC I was eaten alive when I tried that. The further north I go the bigger they get. Why even small children are lost to a swarm on occasion. In Ontario they pay homage to the blackfly in song.
