Why fast Eddie xl

I am looking at a spot Hogg fast Eddie xl 3 pin slider. I currently shoot a 20 year old Matthews legacy with a 27.5 inch draw length and 60 pound draw weight. I am upgrading my bow in the next year. Why would I purchase the fast Eddie xl rather than just the fast Eddie. What will it give me on my current set up and what will it help with a newer bow?

Couldn't tell you how it would help vs. the regular version, but I run the XL Fast Eddie on my Matthews VX33 and shoot lights out with it.

You can slide the xl version away from and toward the bow and it allows for greater sight extension distance.

A bigger sight radius will help you aim more accurately, but is more suseptible to issues from variations in torque. Being able to move the sight in an out will allow you to torque tune. Also, some people can see the pins better closer or further from the bow. Lastly, you can simply use the extension to adjust the perceived size of the mrt rings to match your peep size.

Having the dovetail extension bare isn't really a huge advantage, but there are a few things it allows you to tinker with. The downside is weight.

I like mine extended out some, I like the ability to retract it tight to the bow to have it in the case or remove it quickly.

I liked playing around with the rings and how far to extend it.

I really like it.
Downside is it’s heavy… but tough

The difference between arrows fast eddie and the XL version is the dovetail, so you can move the sight in and out. The xl will be heavier.

I'm a huge spot hogg fan but I wouldn't recommend the fast eddie. For a hunting bow my preference is the Tommy Hogg since I don't want or need a dovetail.

The boonie looks great too but I haven't owned one yet.
