I try to avoid people like the plague, regardless of where I am. So out hunting, I immediately go the opposite direction when I see someone else out there. Same for fishing, if I see another fisherman or vehicle I move on.
I'm not a fan of seeing people when hunting. I figure if someone "beats" me to an area the last thing they want is for me to waltz in and chit chat. Quite frankly it annoys me when anyone does that to me.
I'll chat if we end up meeting up on a trail. But if I'm hunting I prefer a wave and part.
I'm also not into sharing hunting plans. Yea it might help but Iv been burned too many times by public land strangers to tell them where I'm going or what I'm doing. Sounds bad, but im done being burned because I offer some friendly advice on public land.
