I haven’t seen a lot of feedback with the 75 ELD-M on game. Would love firsthand info from those who’ve used it. Thanks

3 deer this year out of 22 creedmoor. I had one “failure” on 3rd where it passed through neck without any noticeable expansion. All others were great. Short neck length and violent upset. I’ll attach a pic of one with shoulder removed.

Just trying to see if their upset is reliable enough to hunt with, or if I’m going to be disappointed.

Well I’m 3 for 3 with Mule deer bucks at 476, 125, and 278 yards. I shot the last one twice but didn’t need to, I expected him to drop at the shot but he humped up and stood there so I hit him again. Search for my posts, I wrote it all up.

2024/2025 season I killed 1 mature muley buck, 4 mature whitetail bucks, and half dozen or so whitetail does. Performed very well out of my 16.5" 22CM. Changed to 77 TMK for 2025/2026 season and killed things a little bit deader. Going 88 TMK for 2026/2027 for the upmost deadness.

They shot just as well as the 80’s for me last season. Locally I had 80’s and 75’s available while doing load dev. I went with the 80 eldm for the BC bump. Wasn’t disappointed with terminal performance. Impact velocity was around 2200 iirc.

This year I’m moving to 88tmk for my 223.

@Schmo Curious of the available options, what lead to you picking the 75?

Only 1 animal with them at extremely close range but the results were favorable, I actually liked it better than what I was seeing with the 77tmk. I’m slowly making the switch to eldms and plan to use the 88s this season in a 223ai. The 75 is a pretty slick bullet in a 223 with a little longer throat and a 7 twist barrel. My plan is to start with the 88s and move back in weight if they don’t work out well, if I end up with the 75eldm as my choice I won’t feel cheated.

I shot a few deer with them in fall 2024. Worked as advertised. Put it in the front half with no concerns. Not as much damage as 77 TMK though. I switched to TMK this year and at my distances and speeds I'm considering going back to 75 ELDM next year. Lots of devastation from 77s. Think the 75's are probably best for my .22-250 and 77 TMK's will be reserved for .223.
