who's tried the new athlon ED binos

Have seen pictures of the new Athlon ED binos and am surprised they have field flattened lenses. Has anyone tried them afield?

I had the Cronus 8.5x42 for a couple months last summer. Glass is very good but build quality matches the $500 price tag. Over all I was happy with them but I sold them because they didn't fit my face.
